What you'll do

Lake Ray Hubbard is a 22,745-acre reservoir located just east of Dallas, Texas, serving the communities of Rockwall, Rowlett, Garland, and Mesquite. The lake is managed by the North Texas Municipal Water District and is one of the most popular freshwater fishing destinations in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex.

The reservoir features a mix of submerged structure, rocky points, bridges, creek channels, standing timber, and vegetation, creating an excellent ecosystem for largemouth bass. Because of its size, boat traffic, and underwater structure, local knowledge of Lake Ray Hubbard is essential for both safe operation and consistently catching quality bass.

Your trip is guided by a professionally licensed fishing captain operating a 21-foot bass boat designed for comfort and performance. All fishing equipment is provided, including rods and reels (left- and right-handed) and a full selection of artificial lures that you are welcome to use throughout the trip. The boat is fully equipped with required safety gear and emergency equipment.

Each trip includes fishing instruction and casting lessons for beginners, as well as advanced bass fishing techniques for experienced anglers. Trips typically last 6 hours, with common start times in the morning or afternoon, though scheduling is flexible based on availability. Lake Ray Hubbard offers calm inland-water fishing conditions, eliminating concerns about rough seas or seasickness, and restrooms are available at nearby marinas and public access points.

While on the water, the boat is stocked with a cooler, ice, and bottled water to keep you comfortable and hydrated. There is plenty of room to bring snacks, lunch, and your favorite beverages. Alcohol is permitted, with cans preferred.
